Greetings Brothers & Sisters,
“I am horrified and disgusted by the statements made by President Trump, but given all that we have learned since the campaign I am not caught off guard by his hideous comments, realizing that this is who he is, a racist. On behalf of our Convention, I did not want to be complicit by being silent toward this madness as if it is ok, it is not! Moreover, this president (lower case on intended) continues to display evidence of ignorance and a complete lack of compassion with zero evidence of a caring nature. These are not the words of one worthy of possessing the highest office in the land, a land that is welcoming of all people, he continues to be a tremendous embarrassment to this great land. Many of our churches are blessed and enriched to have many who’s homelands are in Central and South America as well those in the Caribbean and on the great continent of Africa have been grossly insulted by his comments. We stand with them as family. We are a forgiving people but in order to be forgiven one must seek forgiveness. We then comfort ourselves knowing that God is still on the throne and HE will fight our battles. - The struggle continues!
Yours in Christ our Savior,
